We are a family-owned and operated school with over 20 years of experience in nurturing, educating, and developing the next generation. Zadie’s of the Oranges collaborates with the East Orange Public School Early Childhood Department to provide children ages 3 – 5 years old with a free, high quality public school education in a nurturing, stimulating, and academically focused environment.
Each class consists of fifteen students, one certified teacher, and teacher assistant. Tools of the Mind is the New Jersey state approved curriculum adopted by the East Orange Public School Early Childhood Department. The Tools of the Mind curriculum focuses on providing each student with self-regulation skills and age-appropriate activities that will benefit them throughout their academic journey.

We strongly encourage all parents/guardians to tour Zadie’s of the Oranges before choosing it as your child’s collaborative preschool site. You do not need an appointment to tour our center, which is centrally located in East Orange and accessible by public transportation. Feel free to stop by at your convenience and see for yourself what makes Zadie’s so special.
(Please note: Enrollment at your site of choice is a 2 year commitment for students entering at 3 years old.)

Summer Camp is available immediately at the conclusion of the school year and is open to children 3 - 12 years of age.
